Delaware Announces New "1-Hour" Service
Dover - Secretary of State Harriet Smith Windsor today announced that Delaware will be first in the nation to offer "1-Hour" expedited service. The new "Priority 1" service will complement the Division of Corporations' existing menu of expedited service options including "2 hour", "same day" and "24 hour" service.
Effective immediately, the Division will guarantee "1 hour" processing of "Priority 1" service requests received up until 9 pm (Eastern Standard Time). Customers will be assessed a $1,000 fee in addition to regular filing charges. "Priority 1" service is available Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays and emergencies.
"Priority 1" service is available for most filings handled by the Division of Corporations including partnership, limited partnership, limited liability company, corporation and statutory trust filings. UCC filings, apostilles and authentication requests will not be eligible for the new service, but can continue to request "2 hour" expedited service.
