Department of State: Division of Corporations

UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE

IMPORTANT UCC CHANGE INFORMATION

Effective September 1, 2009, the Division of Corporations will increase UCC filing and expedited fees and services as follows:
The fee for filing and indexing a UCC document of one to four pages communicated on paper or in a paper-based format (including faxes) will increase to $100.00.  If there are additional pages, the fee is $2.00 per page.  There shall be a fee of $25.00 for each additional name to be indexed when there are more than two debtor-names on the financing statement.

Expedited services are being enhanced to include One Hour service, which is completed within a one-hour period from the time of the request, at a cost of $1,000.  The fee for Two Hour expedited service, which is completed within a two-hour period from the time of the request, will increase to $500.  The Same Day fee will increase to $200 and the 24-Hour fee will increase to $100. We encourage you to consider using our e-Corp Web application at https://delecorp.delaware.gov/eCorp/FilerHome , which accepts electronic UCC filings, with or without PDF attachments.  The cost for this service will be increased to $30 on September 1, 2009.

If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact our office at 302/739-3073 or via e-mail at corp@delaware.gov.
