Important Information Regarding Operations of the Division of Corporations

In response to the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), the Division of Corporations continues to adjust operations while keeping in mind the health and safety of our employees and customers.

The Division has resumed in-person customer visits by appointment only. Please call 302-739-3077 to schedule an appointment. Note: Public terminals are not currently available for use and appointments will not be scheduled for this purpose.

While an appointment may be scheduled, we encourage customers to contact the Division through live chat, phone, email and online services found here.  Division staff remain available during normal business hours to assist our customers. In most cases, assistance can be provided without the need for customers to travel to our office.

Customers wishing to submit documents or document requests are encouraged to use our Document Upload Service.

Online services are available through our website, including the ability to pay taxes/file annual reports, file UCCs, search for business entities/obtain basic entity information, obtain entity status, check name availability/reserve entity names and validate certificates.


Appointment Information


In-person customer visits are by appointment only.   Please call 302-739-3077 to schedule your appointment.


Credit/debit cards and electronic checks (ACH) are not accepted at the reception desk.  If you need to pay by credit/debit card or ACH, please use the Document Upload Service.


Please arrive no more than five minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.  You must call 302-739-3077 for entry into the Townsend Building and masks are required while inside the building. If we are still assisting the previous appointment, we may ask that you wait outside, and we will admit you when we are ready.


We will try to accommodate late arrivals, but we may ask that you reschedule if we are unable to work you back into the schedule.


To maintain a healthy environment, we ask that if you are sick or have the onset of symptoms of an illness that you reschedule your appointment. This is for your well-being as well as the health of our employees.
